Message from Xbox. Is your Halo 5 correct?

So I got a message from Xbox. Now I’ve heard that the halo 5 guardians tile may not be correct. That’s fine. But the website it tells me to verify this is very… wrong?

(website: https://www.halowaypoint.com/en-us/games/halo-5-guardians/launch-update)

Highlight the Halo 5 tile: Hit Left bumper + Right Bumper + View button, and it will display yourproduct code.

Apparently if you have “.0.0.0.3” in there you’re fine.

but “.0.0.0.2” you’re not fine.

Problem is… I have neither? (Nobody link their code or send screenshots please.)
It’s all letters.

I may reinstall it just to be safe, but I’m worried about losing my req pack.

Either way there is no .0.0.0.0.# anything in the product code. This may need adjusting on the help page.

Wait for the Day One patch. That might be your problem.

Ditto, not 0.0.0.2 nor 3
I guess I’ll check again tomorrow

This^. They’ve probably put the current version (day 1 patch) up on the servers to lead into next week. It means the servers will be ready on time, and it’ll also block any early copy until the patch goes live

Don’t worry. If you have to reinstall, you won’t lose your REQ pack.

Thank God they tell us this, and thank God they caught it and have a way to fix it

I thought the whole point of checking in the first place is to ensure the preloaded game is compatible with the Day One patch.

Waiting for it to come out defeats the purpose of preloading if our tile is incorrect as be forced to redownload the entire file all over again the day of plus the Day One patch the day of.

Mine is all numbers but nothing that ends in a 2 or a 3 …I’m not worried it says it’s on my external hard drive 46.2 I think alot of people are just worried mine downloaded in middle of the night.
I wonder how many people actually deleted and reinstalled game without needing to

I was wondering about this after seeing a similar situation with Forza 6. I got a preorder card from Walmart on Oct. 6 and it took about 10 seconds to download and thought “there’s no way I downloaded 46gb that fast”. Anyway I didn’t see the 0.0.0.anything in the version ID, just a 30 digit combo of letters and numbers. So I uninstalled it and reinstalled it and now its downloading at the normal snails pace. All should be good…hopefully (fingers crossed).
