Not if that slip-up was planned.
I highly doubt the trailer was able to go through all the editors, producers, execs, etc. and no one caught the date was wrong… It definitely was intentional that she said 2560 instead of 2558 due to it being meant to tie into Hunt the Truth Season 2 and Halo 5.
Maybe we will see in the next episode of hunt the truth but I think that it was not on purpose

We will see, if there is not a single mention of this date error on the next two episodes then this was a mistake on their behalf.

We don’t know how much involvement they had in actually creating the ad, maybe the people who created it weren’t very farmiliar with Halo or it was a simple mistake

This was definitely intentional. This message confirms that she works for ONI, whereas before it as ambiguous.
Regardless of it being an intentional screw up or not, at least they cleared the air for us.
And they did it tastefully and kept the narrative going. They could have just made a twitter post saying “oops we goofed.” And that would have been no fun. I can appreciate this document.

It’s a possibility. If it was a true slip-up on the writer’s part, you think they’d really make an ONI-themed apology on Hunt the Truth instead of coming up and publicly saying they made a mistake? Not saying that they didn’t make a mistake, but really it just seems to me to be part of what they’ve been doing in HTT and other media.
