Mercy rules playlist in Halo 4

Me and a buddy were playing splitscreen CE the other day in multiplayer. We started going through all the gametypes and ended up playing Team Slayer, which in the desccription said “…Kills make you slower, but dying makes you faster.”. At first we started off with normal running speed but as I started to pull out some magnum 3headshot kills, I noticed my run speed was dropping.

Now, even though I have played a LOT more Halo than him, and am undeniably better, he started to come back because he was like Speedy Gonzalez in MkV armor. But as he started to catch up, my speed was doing the same so it felt fair.

My point is that giving players who are not “MLG PROZE” the chance to have the advantage when they are losing is a great balancing tool, of course it would only be for unranked matches, in its own “casual” playlist.

Tell me what you think, and thank you for reading.

I don’t think this is a good idea to be honest. Everyone should be on equal ground when they spawn. The only difference should be the weapons/vehicles/powerups they control on the map and how good the player is at the game. Giving players who are worse at the game a little boost to thier ability gives them an unfair advantage over someone who is actually good at the game and is winning. You shouldn’d be punished for winning, nor should you be rewarded for losing.

This is the sort of reason I think Call of Duty isn’t as good as it could be, because there are too many things for newer/worse players to get kills easier. Plus it gives them the false impression that they’re good at the game.

If you’re bad at the game, you play it more and get better at the game. You shouldn’t get rewarded for losing.

It would be in its OWN playlist, not for all gametypes. It would be like the GoW3 casual playlist, it would only be for players that dont want the “competitive MLG” feel. If you dont like it, you wouldnt play it.

I like this idea, it could be put in its own playlist or action sack. Gives casual players a good chance against the more experienced gamers and would be pretty intense.

They would be equal at spawn. Not only that, but im not saying that Team Slayer should have this, Im saying casual-new players could play this playlist so that it wouldnt be so onesided. If you wouldnt play it, that doesnt mean you shouldnt support it.
