I really wish there was an option to turn the menu music off and on.
Don’t get me wrong, it doesn’t sound bad, it’s just that sometimes I sit in the lobby while I’m doing something else such as getting something to eat or talking to a friend in the lobby and the music gets annoying after a while. Plus, when I’m capturing gameplay for YouTube, it still plays through the program with my HD PVR and it over comes the music I might be trying to listen to.
Turning down the volume on my TV won’t help either because it’s already turned down…you can still hear it blasting through my Tritton 720s.
Who else would like to of had an option to turn menu music on and off? Maybe it could be a feature in future Halo games.
I personally love the music, I’m going to buy the soundtrack, but I think a more fitting song could be like something among the likes of Halo 2 or 3’s menu theme.
I remember reading posts about playing your own music on the console, which will replace the game music. If you don’t want to listen to anything at all, just mute your music.
I’ve been meaning to try this out because I would really love to be able to listen to the dialogue and ambiance…
Or just don’t hang around on the Main Menu? Exit to the dashboard, perhaps? It does take all of 15 seconds to start up…
The second part of the main menu music is my personal favorite. I’ve been guilty of even putting it on through the speakers in my garage while working on my car or doing some household chores.

Well sometimes me and my teammates will sit in the lobby while we wait on someone to go do something or while we decide on what to play. So going to the dashboard would be pointless. The music isn’t bad like I said, it just becomes annoying overtime.
I gotta agree. It’s like visiting a web page that has some crappy autoplay music and when you can’t find the mute icon, you just say “screw it” and leave the page. Not the best way to build loyalty.
Ever try to chat with someone in the lobby? Yeah, good luck with that.
I can understand where you are coming from. Quick fix: Play music from your xbox or computer, then press pause. Problem solved. Works throughout game, not just the menus.
