The style the menu music is in doesn’t fit Halo at all. I’m not talking about the Halo theme that sometimes plays in the main menu (that one made me tear up a bit on startup), I’m talking about the random pieces that feel, well, random. If any of you have sat in the lobby for about 2 minutes you’ll see what I mean. Other than the 2 ish obvious Halo Pieces, the pieces are all very different from each other and it kinda kills the vibe. From instruments, to pace, to intensity, all of it. Especially the pieces that start whenever you start to join a game and when a game is ending. I get they’re trying something new, but now it feels more like a generic FPS shooter lobby. Would absolutely love there to be a single set piece “menu theme” like there was in past Halos.
Yeah i agree the original theme is cool i dont know why they have to get all extra with it.
Definitely doesn’t feel like Halo music. Feels like a new Call of Duty… Doesn’t mesh well.

I actually really like the main menu music, it suits Halo really well. But hey I understand if you don’t like it, I hope they add a music player that allows you to choose what music you want to play in the menus.
The music isn’t bad, but the problem is is doesn’t fit Halo. Halo has had a musical theme to it for 2 decades. This is completely different. I’d expect this is a new Call of Duty game as it has this kind of feel to it.
Honestly i like the menu music. As i was reading this post, itbstarted chanting.
Kinda reminds me of a fushion between halo and mass effect really.
When you launch the game, you get the usual chanting. But then you get music that sounds completely unrelated. Halo 4 music was different but it still felt like Halo because the same rise and fall of the notes, while not chanting, still felt like Halo but just a different game. It still retained that DNA. This music has none of that DNA in my opinion.
Actually a lot of the new music is a pretty nice touch up on the music that was in earlier parts of the series. Of course there’s also completely new things but even there are variations of the classic soundtracks sprinkled in. I think it’s great honestly. It’s not Marty O’Donnell but it’s great nonetheless.
I miss Marty O’Donnel 
Other composers have been good but he was definitely my favorite when it came to the Halo music.

Apex allows players to choose their music. Maybe 343 could do this. I’d be okay with that option.
the chanting theme makes me nostalgic af and the instrumental “metal/rock” track is straight fire
