Every time I return to the menu after playing, whether it be campaign, customs, forge or the one time I got matchmaking to work the game freezes.
I can live with this when I’m playing on my own (I just wait 5 to 10 seconds) but whenever I’m in a party everyone gets booted after every single game.
Add that to the game chat issues that are prevalent across all games on the Xbox one and you’re in for a very frustrating evening.
Am I the only one having this issue?
Nope - I’m also having the same issue, only happens to me after matchmaking so far.

I have this happen except it puts the post game report up on the screen, and I have no way of exiting it without resetting Halo.

Yeah, I never get that far. Game ends, goes to loading screen, and it’s like it never loads from there. Have to leave Halo, quit running it, reboot it.

How did you get un-stuck? I viewed a terminal, now the game is completely stuck at “Pause Menu” all I can do is go back to the Xbox home. Even if I power down the Xbox and power it backup, login, it just takes me to the same “Pause Menu” and will not do anything else.

Go back to the Xbox home screen, click “start” on Halo MCC and select “quit”. Give it 30 secs then reload Halo MCC. Shouldn’t have to restart Xbox to do that.
I’m getting this as well. Loading screen after the rare game that I can play via matchmaking. Can’t do anything about that screen. This also happens to me when I choose “Player ID” from the settings…no UI, just the background and nothing ever happens.

Nope. I even tried launching another game, then going back and re-launching Halo:MCC. That caused some Xbox error and completely froze the console turning it into “Xbrick One”. I had to hold my thumb on the power button on the console itself for 10 seconds, let it power down, wait, then power it back up getting the green Xbox screen. Now it’s working again.
So I guess skip all terminals for now?
Having the same issue with terminals launching Halo Channel and then menu being frozen once I go back. Only way to reset was a hard reboot. I actually just jacked the AC plug out and then plugged in and turned on - a little quicker than holding it down.
Same as op. We struggle to get in a group with our friends. Super long or no matchmaking( like 30 mins to match for a game). Then when we finish. It either freezes or we try to back out into match making and it disbands the party.
Also every game we have played with a group of friends it has split us up on opposite teams.

Has anyone noticed if this only happens if you get an unlock notification? I think it may have something to do with it.
Happens to me as well, mainly from Matchmaking. Either stuck on load or black screen. I wish the load screen had moving parts so we could tell if it froze or is still loading.
