Ive been asking for Vertical sensitivities forever, and Halo finally will have them. Though I still find the slowest direction to look in is diagonals. Hopefully with the edition of Vertical sense, both sensitivities with overall increase the speed of the Diagonal sense. Also, 343 will be adding halfs to the sensitivity for more fine tuning. Pretty awesome that these stagnant options are expanding finally.
Also, did their phrasing about matching vertical and horizontal sensitivity finally solve the mystery of why Halo 5s aiming feels weird? Lol
> One interesting thing to note is that if you do make these settings match numerically then you’ll have the look sensitivity ratio of previous Halo titles.
It was so subtle, I couldn’t figure it out.

Honestly couldn’t figure out what they were getting at. Matching them numerically in what way? Idk sounds like they were being vague, but I can’t wait to fiddle around with the options.

By the looks of it the default horizontal will always be lower if you just select the default settings of 1 - 10 so 3 has a horizontal of 1.5 therefore if you change this to 3 it will be as they claim the same values as previous halos. Ofc this is taking them at their word for it.
I’m definitely going to fiddle around with the new sensitivity options. Great update for sure!

What they mean is that the vertical sensitivity is higher to accommodate for the games verticality. If you lower the vertical sensitivity to the same number as your horizontal sensitivity (which remains unchanged from previous games) you will have the same settings as in previous Halo games.
Is there a link to confirm this? I am super curious to read more about it.
edit: AH! I didn’t realize there was another Bravo update out that has it mentioned it. I wonder how many people actually know about this?

Shhh it’s a secret. Only the 6 of us and Bravo know!
I can’t wait to fiddle, and raise my horizontal to match my vertical. That might explain why aiming feels wonky still to this day.

Yea it seems not many players actually check the news section. 343 should front page more things than just the newest update.
