Agreed. Although those features aren’t limited to just CoD, they just don’t belong in Halo games. Halo has always been different because of its simplicity, even the changes in Reach upset a lot of players. We don’t need more gimmicks that don’t add to gameplay.

I’m one of those players that doesn’t enjoy Reach, and I’ve been playing since CE. Yes, we don’t need those gimmicks.
I would just like to point out that this isn’t a bad idea. Chances are we’re going to get another variant of Bloom/Spread or Armor Abilities/Equipment in Halo 4, and Custom games will be the only bastion of competitive halo until the TU comes out, so having spectator mode to be able to record truly competitive matches would be fine.
There is absolutely nothing wrong with features that don’t impact gameplay (e.g. weapon skins). Only because it’s a feature that appears in CoD doesn’t mean it’s bad. I could swear that if Halo was the first game to ever have weapon skins, you would be praising them.
As what comes to gameplay features. Currently I see no gameplay feature in CoD that could positively impact gameplay, thereby all gameplay feature suggestions are useless.
Anyway, anything not impacting gameplay doesn’t need to be rejected just because it appears in CoD.

I can understand it to a point. I’m stating that I don’t want to see red tiger skin on my BR.
Dude I can name 5 games that I’ve played within the last year that have those features… Game devs steal off other devs and thats the way it goes. Would any of the things you mentioned really make the game bad? No, with possibly the exception of weapon attatchments.
Yes, the skins wouldn’t affect gameplay, but Halo is better than that.
Halo is one of the biggest shooters (if not the biggest) out there. Other games should want to copy off of Halo, not the other way around.
I would rather 343 come up with their own idea then copy off of other games.
I say CoD because that is where it is most prevalent.
If Halo becomes COD I think I’ll kill someone(jk). The only customization Halo needs is the character customization(not counting Forge), not many games have it so its awesome for Halo. We should get more things to do with our characters look.
> Hello, I was skimming through the Halo 4 forums just to come across multiple topics asking for CoD like features.

Oh wow.
You think CoD invented those features?, I bet you also think Halo invented the FPS genre.

This is the only thing that I can see affecting gameplay. The other stuff is just nice to have. I agree, I want Halo to feel like Halo but there is no need to ignore good ideas even if they are in other games. (I am not saying these are all great ideas but I don’t want to throw stuff out just because someone did it first.) I do want them to be thrown out if they get away from being “Halo” as 343 has stated they have done already.
One thing i see working is the use of weapon gadgets, maybe changing armour may give you different strenghts and weakness, example a certain armour if added will allow you to take more hits but slow you down.
Although i want to see that the gameplay and the memory be used for the core of the game and if there is space anything else.

It’s totally not like there’s something like that in CoD or every other ga- Oh yeah, its called perks.
