with at least 1 round missing from your magazine, melee, reload and then during your reload animation melee again. You can do this effectively as fast as you push the buttons and is significantly easier to reproduce than halo 2 button glitches.
I would say this might “increase the skill gap” or whatever that h2c players say. But since you can do it effectively forever, you could theoretically wipe someone with over shield in less than .5 seconds
I just reported this exploit as well. I’m glad someone else posted this already this glitch is completely broken. I had an entire enemy team running around doing this and one guy would grapple to me and take me out instantly. Needless to say this was not fun, our team was crushed and I had no idea what was going on until I looked in to it. So now for the remainder of my play time this weekend I pretty much have to either use the exploit myself or avoid melee altogether. I was actually having a blast playing until I ran into this issue it needs to be fixed.
Here’s a link to a video I made against bots just as you described I basically took down an over shielded bot instantly
So this isn’t just me going insane thinking somebody’s got some fishy stuff going on, literally just finished a match of slayer and this guy was going around for most of the match melee’ing people instantly. Given how melee is already a bit wonky I would really consider it an exploit. Why use anything else if you can just delete people with your elbow because of a bug/glitch/exploit? I watched this guy pretty much instakill people with his melee. Wish I was recording it as the entire match I couldn’t believe what I was seeing, confused as to how he was able to even get melee kills like that when me and my teammates were undamaged.
Really hoping this doesn’t stay in the game because it might just put me off of Infinite MP, going to try maybe sending a support ticket about it and see what happens.
You can do it forever in h2c too, it’s the same glitch
Melee, Reload, melee, Reload, melee, Reload, melee, Reload, melee, reload…
Personally I’m happy it’s back it can allow people who know about it to make insane plays from time to time, h5 has a similar trick with spartan charge but it’s a lot harder to do
It’s a Known Issue and is patched out in future builds according to what people have said from the patch note list. Personally I am curious as to what people think about Infinite having a double pummel like Halo CE did… it frankly feels a lot more busted since it can delete you from full HP if you can somehow get it off quickly…
I think the BxB in Infinite is way too over the top. I love BxB, BxR, etc. in Halo 2 because they’re slightly hard to pull off, and aren’t as broken as Infinite’s spamming. I hope they keep it, just moderate it so it’s more in line with Halo 2.
