Is it just me or is the melee hit registration terrible? A few times have i had it where i was behind an enemy and backsmacked them and didnt instakill them even though they are completely facing away from me. And sometimes id melee someone and it doesnt even register the hit. This has been a nuisance to me since the first flight, i really hope it gets fixed after this flight.
I haven’t even been able to get close enough to backsmack a single player yet. I think the skill level has been a bit too high for that with the radar active. Literally had to recycle the daily challenge for it because I couldn’t do it haha.
Have found my melee to be a bit wild, sometimes I get big lunge and sometimes I miss at point blank when I thought I’d lunge and died as a result. I’ve definitely beat people down without them being on my screen if they’ve been slightly off to the side or above too.
The physics is wonky and awful everyone is having a terrible time with melee to the point a lot of people are using the repulsor as a finisher.
Sometimes the melee lunge range is inconsistent, and I will not lunge at an enemy right in front of me. Sometimes it is like I am hitting through them. I would say 90% of the time my melees work just fine, but yea, sometimes there is an issue.
Melee felt strange to me for sure. Several times I would melee someone weaker than me and they would melee me at around the same time and I’d die and they wouldn’t. I ended up just trying to stay out of melee range because it felt so inconsistent.
For me it works as it should about 50% of the time, with the other 50% being all over the place. I’ve had times where I’ve been practically rubber shoulders with someone and the melee doesn’t register, while other times I’ve somehow managed to lunge sideways into someone that isn’t even on my screen. I’m sure lag plays a part in it at times, but it happens way too often for that to be the sole reason. At times I feel like I’m playing TF2 with its wonky melee registration.
