When did Spartans get heat seeking apocalypse fists?

I have to be inside my opponent’s player model to hit with a melee…whilst they can lunge from sword lunge rnage 
Yeah, I’d like that heat-seeking fist upgrade. I’m in the US playing on US servers, and short of Spartan Charging my screen has to be filled with enemy Spartan to land a melee hit. Not only do people seem to have better range, but I can be shooting an enemy as I charge in, hit them, and then they turn around and in one punch I’m a corpse…

And then comes my second point- I’m from the US and I can say that they need to get some servers for everywhere else. It’s no fun playing against someone who can’t even play, and yes I know they can’t play if they are running face first into walls (or they just suck and I have no problem playing with them)
The sword range melee is still a problem. I have both gotten many kills and been killed many times due to it.
Melee-magnetism is way too strong… There was a guy sitting around a corner, and I jumped and thrusted right around the corner… it was SWAT, neither of us knew we were there… and I thrusted way by the dude and he somehow got me with a melee kill.
That’s ridiculous. I cleared the corner a GOOD ways yet he lands a melee?

That is immediately what I thought of! …except I imagine that the guy actually snapped around a full 180 when I zipped by him lol.

This hasnt been a new thing, ive experienced this in past halos, specifically halo 3
