Tired of always losing those battles even though you shot first, broke their shields and they had less health than yours but for some “343” reason you end up dying.
I wonder if there is a bundle in the store that you buy that makes you invulnerable to being smacked.

Melee is broken and needs fixing
If you have no shields and get meleed you should die

I agree. Fixing melee should be one of 343’s main priority. Too many times melees end in trades or on rare occasions you get blank melees. A blank melee lost me a game of ranked a couple days ago
Its so annoying because it’s this stupid bleedthrough that nobody wants. It’s become the new Melee meta. Get your enemy shields down to 20% for a one hit melee kill…this makes no sense, 343 and their bleedthrough trade off nonsense.
Scenario 1 - you get the drop on the enemy and shoot 1st. Manage to pop their shields. They shoot back knocking your shields to 30% you melee the enemy that has no shields and take 50% damage to health. Enemy then smacks you while your at 30% shileds and full health and you die!!!
This is broken and a dumb way that 343 have it and they have had it like this in previous halo’s
Scenario 2 - you get the drop on the enemy and shoot 1st. Manage to pop their shields. They shoot back knocking your shields to 30% you melee the enemy that has no shields and take 50% damage to health. Enemy then smacks you while you’re at 30% of shields and pops your shields. Then you melee them back that takes them from 50% health to 0% for the kill. Your left with no shields.
This makes common sense with how shields work rather than having this dumb bleedthrough. Once everyone know’s how it works, they’ll abuse it to get easy kills. Everyone would just take your shields off at mid range and smack you once your close to kill you… People need to be aware.

also the fast movement acceleration/lack of inertia is really throwing people off with their melees.
its way easier to simply walk backwards out of lunge range to dodge a smack, something you couldn’t really do in previous games once you were within distance.
The melee distance seems all over the place as well. Enemies occasionally can punch me from distances where melee should not work, particularly when I’m jumping. Maybe it’s due to lag, but it’s really frustrating when it happens.
Exactly. The melee range is all over the place. You or enemies can either zoom from across the map. Zipping in so quickly and from out of nowhere. I had someone jump of a ledge and stop mid air then dart at me with laser like precision. Some times it’s a swing and a miss without even moving. The worst is when you rapidly spam the button and it takes so long to melee again but they can spam melee you like crazy fast like it’s nothing…
Lag is still a big issue with this game. Everytime I see UNSTABLE PACKAGE LOST even with 11ms or 32ms it’s so frustrating. When the game lags and when it comes down to physically hitting someone it’s like hitting a brick wall and they can just Chuck Norris you. Its so annoying thinking to yourself how’d they not die…
