The way the TU has altered Melee Bleed through works quite well when you are shooting at a enemy and melee them with low shields for the kill. However any other situation i find that its not right. You can have full shields and low health and die to one melee. This is not how it should be.
When I think of Halo’s Melee system I always reference back to Halo 2 and 3. In both games a single melee would drop a opponents shields to about 20-25%. A second melee would then be a kill because of the low shield status it would bleed through to the health bar. It made game play faster because a single melee didn’t mean you now had to go hide, you still had enough shields to fight the next opponent. In addition i feel that with melee bleed through grenades are even more potent and are being used much more.
This is what should make its return, its what gave people a reason to improve melee skills in CQC. Its what made me love Halo so much.
