Will the melee animations in Halo 5 be anything like the ones in Combat Evolved? One of the things I have never understood about the franchise is how different the melee attacks look and feel in the sequels. In CE, there is a complete range of motion that constitutes every melee; there is no interruption in the animation, which makes melees a joy to look at and execute.
The same can’t be said for the sequels. Most of the melee animations in subsequent games come to an abrupt halt before your weapon returns to its default/idle stance, which makes them feel and look awkward.
