I got owned by Vetoed in FFA yesterday and I’m almost very positive that he meleed me before my Ground Connected. I didn’t even touch the ground for impact but was sure it would hit him. I heard you could do this, but I’ve never been in that situation to try lol, I wouldn’t even attempt to do that xD. Also to be clear, there was no trade.
Yeah Vetoed is a beast, and people try to claim there’s not a big skill gap lol. Can you post a clip? I’m curious to see what happened.

It is possible, but it is extremely difficult to time. IIRC it doesn’t negate any GP damage, though.

You’re right is doesn’t negate damage, which mean he probably back smacked me and I overshot my Ground Pound. Here’s the Clip
Or I didn’t directly hit him and he finished me off after shooting me. I guess that’s how I interpret it, because I did hit the ground.
That is some lucky -Yoink- right there. If that other player wasn’t shooting you, you may have not died from that first melee by Vetoed.
Ground pound can some times also slides off the target as if they were friendly with friendly fire on.
I believe there’s a medal for air assassintion… but air ground pound, would be interesting to see… perfect timing…

i did this to someone the other day for the last kill of the game. it was kinda my last ditch effort to not get ground pounded. in the lobby i apologized to him and told him i was positive it wasn’t gonna work and i couldn’t do it again. haha
Wow. That is absurd. Reminds me of the time I’d fire a rocket at someone in Halo 3, only to have them deflect the rocket with a gravity hammer.

Interesting…I know I’ve stuck someone ground pounding and it did no damage to the person when he landed. Thought that was odd. But that just looks like a perfectly timed glitch.

He’s a high level player who is a popular streamer on twitch and has a YouTube. He’s typically top ten champ in ffa. He also has the baddest fro you’ve ever seen.
