Here’s the official description to the Halo Xbox Comic Con panel from 11:45 AM to 12:45 PM:
“Spartans Unite! Join Frank O’Connor (Franchise Development Director), Dan Ayoub (Executive Producer), and other 343 Industries guests as they celebrate and discuss the exciting new addition to the “Halo” universe (“Halo: Spartan Assault”), the new comic-book series from Dark Horse Comics (“Halo: Initiation”), along with some “Mega” surprises.”. Mega surprises, what does that mean o_O, they could possibly announce the title of the new Halo game? That would really cool, but I’m not holding my hopes up. What do you think the mega surprises will be?

Anyways, I’m hoping it will be some clarification on what’s happening in the Halo Xbox One trailer. Speculation is amusing, but it’s nice to see what’s actually happening!

Highly doubt it. Halo 4 was announced in E3 2011, but nothing was really said or shown until very early 2012. I’m sure the same thing will happen again.
OT: Mega surprises? Highly doubt it’s anything about Halo 5. Would like to think it’s a Halo 2A announcement, but Halo CEA wasn’t announced until 5 months before it was released. Maybe info about the Halo TV series. Maybe. And I doubt that since 343i said info about it wasn’t going to be talked about for a long time. So I have no overall idea what the mega surprise could be.
BS Angel was said something about “Improving Spartan Ops”. Sorry I cannot find the topic, I’ll try to find it. I’m gonna post it here when I found it.

Actually we got info during Halofest at the panel. Technically late 2011 is when the news started. I think they might start getting the news out earlier this year about the next Halo so chances are they could start getting tid bits out here and there. Like maybe at the VGA’s this year they might have a trailer.
OT: I think it’s mega blocks related. Could be another movie or even news on the TV series and Halo 5. I wouldn’t get your hopes up because if you get your hopes up than you won’t be surprised.

Possible but improbable. I have already stated time and time again that a beta will take up too much of 343i’s development time whcih is already capped at two years, and at the earliest they’ll have a working beta out a couple of months before release (which is too late to make a difference).

There is absolutely no way they will have screenshots prepared. The most we could hope for on this front is concept art.

yeah i wonder wich story they gonna follow is it the chief or is it everything. like Game of thrones has seperate stories…

I think it’s definitely not going to be focused on one character, and I think it will pick up where Spartan Ops left off. So more like GoT.

- Halo: The Television Series
- Halo Xbox One
- Mega Blocks - I honestly wouldn’t be surprised, he never said ‘mega’ directly, he quoted it so perhaps he just took it off something
I’d love to include Halo 2 Anniversary up there but honestly I’ve lost hope, especially since the 2014 window has already been filled.
Perhaps they could finally announce some casting info on Halo TV and then there are of course the endless questions that could finally be answered regarding Halo on Xbox One - Arbiter!

But 343 had a smaller team then, now they have a larger and can probably do more

Yeeeaaaahhhh no, why waste time remaking something which does not signify anything? Halo CEA represented 10 years of Xbox and Halo, 2 represents nothing, 343 should move onto bigger things. If you want to play Halo 2, play Halo 2
