Meet us halfway

Ok , Alot of people love this game and alot of people dont . Some people like the ordinance drops and some hate them same with AA’s and so on . I have read many threads and made this of what I believe will meet people halfway and not only take one view into consideration

Ordinance Drops : I believe they should only include things like the needler , plasma grenades and scattershot . The one-shot kill weapons like the sniper , binary rifle and rocket launcher should be map only pickups . This way the people who love ordinance drops still get them , and they arent so overpowered for people that hate them .

AA’s : I have seen alot of opinions on people hating AA’s to but I know some people like them . I suggest this : Make it so you can only use your armor ability once per life , this way it wont be so groundbreaking and people wont camp with active camo etc. Once it runs out thats it , people that like them will still have them and people that dont wont have to suffer with people camping as much .

DMR : Many people want it removed and many people like it the way it is , some others want it fixed. I say for both sides we get it fixed , Nerf it to the same rate of fire as the BR then it’s purely down to skills when the DMR VS BR battles take place . Nerfing the RoF will also stop people saying how overpowered it is and people that love it will still have it in the game.

Boltshot : Many people dont like the boltshot they say its overpowered but other people love it , here i believe the Boltshot should have reduced range , smaller then the shotguns and scattershot’s and also only be charged once per clip . This way it stops people getting killed when there not even near point blanc and it stops people charging it up again if they miss the first time .

Classes : Some people say classes have ruined halo while others love this new addition , here i reccomend a new playlist with no classes , it wont be classic halo but wil remove the classes altogether , weapons like the DMR and BR would be found on the map instead, this way people that hate them will play this playlist and people that love them can continue playing the normal playlist

I agree with most of the op’s compensation, except with regards to the boltshot. The reason halo stands out from other fps games is that it takes longer to kill someone because of shields. The boltshot breaks this concept. I say make the boltshot only strong enough to take down shields. If not, it will have to be considered a shotgun and put into ordinance.

I do kinda agree with that but then it would just be a plasma pistol thought

No starting weapon should be a 1 shot kill. Period. No exceptions. They should just make it a map pickup, and not change it. It will be considered a power weapon(seeing as it is).

Today I learned melee should not 1 shot when hit from behind, because “One shot kill weapons should not be given at the beginning of the game.”

Melee is perfectly fine one hit in the back , it takes alot of skills to take someone from behind as you have to get the jump on then and its always been one hit to the back , no one complains about it . Its not a weapon either btw .

Because being able to do the exact same thing from a much greater distance and from ANY direction is TOTALLY THE SAME GUYS.

I very much agree with point 1. Ordinance drops always seem to hand the opposition binary rifles to my needlers. A minor gripe but annoying as hell on Infinity Ragnarok.

You know what, I like this. With respect to some of these which can be adjusted at the playlist level, the “matchmaking experience” should be more diversified in order to account for the overwhelming size of community demands. What I wouldn’t like to see is a split setup (classic here, new there) as that’s pretty boring. Within-playlist variety should be the focus with some general themes running between different ones but without definite categories.

The DMR rebalance should go without saying but I fear that it’ll just make what is currently the dullest weapon in the history of Halo even more tedious. It still should be done in Halo 4 but for Halo 5 the weapon should probably be removed. The same can be said for pruning the ordnance drops. There’s some definite changes we can make now (the map breaking power being relegated to on-map spawns only so that their frequency can be better controlled) but even if we get that to a functional state a major overhaul is still be needed next game.

Really cause I only get killed by the bolt pistol in melee range. And you teh man locke said no one should get killed by one hit weapons at the start of the game. Waypoint classifies melee as a weapon. Huh.

I also didn’t know crouching and waiting for someone walk around the corner and melee them from behind was skill. I thought that was just patience.
