After looking a little more in depth at the video I noticed in one of the shots it showed some medals when a Spartan got a head-shot. It looked like a killing spree or an assist spree and an assist medal. Also by the medal in the top right corner where they appeared it had a number by it. Both had 5 by it… possibly this means that you’ll be able to tell how many assist or beat downs etc. you have during the game.

It really does! I know there is a lot of tough speculation on the game right now, but I hate to jump on the bandwagon before I see how things are going to be implemented.
I think it’s a headshot medal. I don’t know why he got the assist medal though. Maybe something happened off-screen.
The 5’s by each medal seems to add to the score. If you look at the bottom right corner you’ll see the score goes way past 50.
It looks like they just played around with the settings. You could set the score to 500 and get 5 points for assists and headshot in Halo 3/Reach.
It also totaled up a score of 55 with the 2 medals. Maybe points will be taken seriously instead of “Johny” over there in CTF camping for a tank getting thousands of credits while “Jimmy” captures 8 flags and gets a performance bonus of 250. Maybe they will have a point system in matches rather than one point per kill.
