Because the Ball - and by extension, Assault - was added sometime after Halo 5 was released, I assume they didn’t consider counting the Ballsassination medal as part of your game statistics. Same deal with the Gravity Hammer, Reach Grenade Launcher, and Assault Cannon (Hunter arm).
