Mechs in Multiplayer

So i was wondering, would the community be intrested in integrating a mech into halo 4? For those of you who dont know what a mech is, its a robotic exoskeleton that can greatly increase a persons physical strength. Or in our case, it will give us twice the advantage we have on the battlefield. With halo’s arsenal of powerful weaponry im suprised we havent had somthing like this in our disposal. Equip our mech with a machine gun and other fun gadgets and we’ll have a new vehicle bent on ruling the battlefield.

If you want to see how a mech would dramatically increase your teams chances of winning games i suggest you check this out.

Have a nice day

So you want something from another game put in halo. This is why it shouldnt be in halo, its been in other games.
Dont get me wrong, it would be cool to have a new unique vehicle type in halo. Some sort of some kind of completely different mech in FORGE ONLY wouldnt be bad.

Just because something was in other games already doesn’t mean it shouldn’t be in Halo. I mean, just look around. Game developers have been steal… I mean, “letting themselves be inspired” by other developers’ work ever since PacMan.

And considering there actually are or at least were Mech-like vehicles in the UNSC like the Cyclops (Halo Wars), it doesn’t seem that unreasonable.

MJOLNIR is already kind of like that. The Prototype in Halo Legends is even more mech-like.

I hope that there’ll also be Pelicans, Warthogs, and other vehicles that transform into robots that can be inhabited by humans/Spartans in combat.

LOL

UNSC vehicles are more than meets the eye.

I think the EVA suits that you see in Halo Wars would be cool. Mounted chain gun, arm mounted grenade launcher (no EMP). Moves as fast as a Spartan moves, and has a slight thrust for jumping. Maybe can be used in Space?

Oh damn it…
Reminded me of this…

So we should have the guys in green suits of armor put on another suit of armor?

> So we should have the guys in green suits of armor put on another suit of armor?

Do the regular guys in green suits of armor have arm mounted chain guns?

> So we should have the guys in green suits of armor put on another suit of armor?

I wouldn’t call it “putting on another suit of armor” but more “piloting a vehicle that happens to have humanoid shape”.

I know - semantics.

No, but they seem perfectly adept at ripping them off and carrying them around all awesome-like.

but we already have suits of armor that happen to have vehicular shapes. Wouldn’t that be a bit redundant?

But we could use them in SPAAAAAACE!

They are already in the game.

Consider top one percent Onyx players using Jetpacks. They turn this game into Armored Core.

I’ve been convinced

Dude, you pretty much ARE a mech.

Mechs… LOL dude this isnt a Square Enix game. Its Halo.

The only real “Mech” in Halo was in Prototype. And unfortunately for the Mech loving community, Prototype along with the rest of Halo Legends was pure garbage.

There is also the Cyclops, but they are pretty much useless for combat, more repair tools than anything else.

Now, Spartan body armor is already a form of exoskeleton offering increased mobility, defense, and weapon systems. So what’s the point? Take a fully armored Spartan and put him in any kind of Mech and all you are doing is hampering his ability to move and fight.

Mechs have no place in Halo.

> There is also the Cyclops, but they are pretty much useless for combat, more repair tools than anything else.

The only reason the Cyclops kinda sucks is because it doesn’t have any real weapons and relies solely on melee combat. But watching half a dozen Cyclopses stomp a base into the ground is just a beautiful think to behold. =D

God, STOP! Stop trying to tear Halo apart please. If you didn’t like H1,2,and 3, go please. <----THAT IS HALO GAMEPLAY! Halo gameplay should have been and always should be just a new improved version of the last just like 2 and 3 were. They had what they needed for their replay value and were simple. ( besides the dumb -Yoink- equipment in 3 GAHH ) Now, yes action sack go nuts. But if you mean this in normal matchmaking I’m done with Halo and life.
