Ever since the release for Halo 5 there have been a lot of issues about a lot of the things that are within Halo 5, from aiming to content. I understand the pros were brought in to make the game more competitive to drag in more players. Sadly it seems like people have been turning off from the choices made at hand. Even after the update I still have issues aiming within Halo 5 and yes it become a pain whenever I know I should have killed an opponent. Sadly things like this wont change for the sake of this game. I currently run on sensitivity on 3, aim accel on 2 and inner and out on 0, and yes I still have issues.
They didnt need to make the game challenging by doing what they did with the aiming. It didnt need to be split into to groups and I -Yoinking!- hope in the next game they make it right but returning it to what it was. You dont need to change things to make a game competitive. If Halo 4 didnt have the copy in paste of CoD then it would have been better off and a lot of people would have liked it more, referring to the multiplayer side of course.
To those not experiencing the aim issue, good for you, no one cares. I just hope that things will look up for Halo because there are more issues that havent been resolved that are being dealt with right now but in a timely manner but sadly with each passing day, Halo is losing more players to it competitors. Halo needs to be user friendly again and not forcing players to play in a certain style cough competitive cough. Balance is key and if you cant do that then Halo wont survive.
Trust me I love Halo 5 and Halo in general as much as the next guy but I find it more frustrating whenever I played Halo 5 than any other Halo to date, it is too competitive and to some not enjoyable.
I haven’t noticed any problems with aiming. To be honest, I aim better on this game compared to other Halo games. I didn’t even bother changing my settings after the ‘aiming update’ because there was nothing wrong with the aim in the first place. (in my opinion) Halo 5 just plays a lot faster that other Halo games, you just need to get used to it.

I have tried since release and after the update and I play frequently. Thing is the others play amazingly compared to Halo 5 and with TMCC which is in 60FPS, I feel that my aim is better on there regardless if Halo feels “faster” or not.

I didn’t even bother playing Reach, I played the campaign that’s it, the first Halo game that I hated. I loved Halo 4 and I always get hated for it, I don’t know why but i enjoyed that game so much.

> Better design than Halo 5’s, thats for sure.
I’ve had trouble aiming in this game since it came out. I always thought it was just because I don’t really play a whole lot of console shooters anymore and I’m not very good with a controller at the moment. Which is why I would like to see more or just a more effective type of aim assist. But I can see that not everyone wants that. I don’t mind the pro player input or the focus on eSports. I just feel like it’s something that shouldn’t be forced on everyone. Have a separate playlist for this stuff and then make one for the casuals that just want to hop on and have fun. As it stands, it’s virtually impossible to play Arena solo.
As a whole, I like Halo 5 and most of it’s mechanics. It’s frustrating at times, but it’s still better than most shooters. My complaints lie with the aiming and all of the different ways to die from melee. I really wish ground pound and Spartan charge weren’t there. I also feel like most of the automatic weapons need a slight damage nerf.

You’re not right. I’m not trusting you. You’re a scrub. Git gud. The end.

You can customize the aiming so that’s on you. People wanted more competitive play like halo 2 and that’s what they did it in halo 5. Is there a lack of social modes: yes. Is halo 5 too competitive: no.

Its not just them. The Coalition did it with Gears UE to tweak some things and it was a massive crap fest from the start. Though part of the issue with that game was they used old coding and put it on good servers which was a big mistake.
A lot of companies are taking advice from pros and its someone how leading to a more casual gameplay for most games which is beyond me. I like halo 5 don’t get me wrong I loooove it. Though I believe companies need to keep pros out of it.
What aiming issue? You mean how they set the deadzones? And the slow turn issue? The slow turn issue is down to the xbox controller especially on old controllers. We have an abundance of settings to customize our aim how we want it. You really can’t complain about the aim now because of this.
