MECHA GRUNT : DO YOU WANT HIM IN INFINITE?

do you want to see the mecha grunt in halo Infinite?

Sort of. I thought he was a cool addition in H5 due to his dialog and the mech suit itself, but fighting him was no different than the Warden: unload a bunch of bullets into a weak spot from far away. That got very boring after the first time. If they make him more fun to fight, yeah I’d like to see a return. Otherwise, not really.

kill a mecha grunt in the campagne without a rocket, scoprion ect … can be fun

Yes, but not the Warzone version. Obviously it would need to be balanced for 1-4 players fighting them in a campaign/co-op setting rather than the 8-24 or Warzone and Warzone Firefight. Realistically it would probably fit somewhere in between a Ghost and a Wraith.

I loved his lines and attacks, but it’d need to be a little less bullet-spongey as others have said.

I still have fun with him. So it is a bring him back for me.

I personally want to see him as the secret final boss of Halo Infinite

Yes!

I would love to see this in infinite, but implementation needs to be better designed. Biggest problem with H4/ H5 enemies are that they are bullet sponges. They need weak points that are fun to target and take advantage of.

I won’t mind as long as it doesn’t take all my ammo to kill like in H5

on halo 5 the mecha grunt can be killed very quickly if you shot the shield on his head.

343 should make it like a scarab where you shoot the knees to disable it then go for a weak spot.

Grunt mechs should certainly return. The player should be able to disable different parts of the suit by shooting them. The grunt should definitely not be a bullet sponge, more like a walking tank. And like a tank, there should be skillful ways in which the mech can be eliminated quickly.

Love this idea.
I like the Mecha Grunt and it could be cool if it came back in Halo Infinite.

In forge it would be cool.

Yes I do. The first time it was introduced in H5 I thought “maybe that’s something they’re thinking about for the next Halo” and have been hoping to see it return ever since.

I’m not against any enemy returning. My concern is that Prometheans are more reactive to ballistics and that the AI is better for all enemies so we can ditch the boring bullet sponges we have gotten last few games. If they make the grunt interesting to fight and mechanically unique with funny dialogue great. If it’s the same then cut it entirely.

Definitely not, it’s first introduction had a sort of comic relief bullet sponge appeal to it to which I found instant dislike of.
Just didn’t seem like anything Halo like to me.

Not that it’s the only reason but Id rather avoid writing a wall of text on subjects went over half a dozen times already on different posts.

This is the only acceptable answer.

absolutely. the grunts have sided with cortana and they are canon so it’d make sense to have grunt mechs fighting for the created. they would have to change the way it plays though because we can’t have that level of bullet sponge in the campaign, maybe add a week spots like they did with the halo 5 knights.
