After my nerves have been calmed over all this leaked stuff, I thought of how I can be cool with all of these used/like-new changes.
The answer is CUSTOM GAMES with BILLIONS OF OPTIONS and FORGE 3.0 that would go as far as letting us MAKE ANYTHING WE WANT from MLG maps and game types to even recreating FIREFIGHT!

Inb4 343i announces that custom games will be limited to only score limit, game type and map and Forge is being replaced by the Halo Zero game. I figured Reach would have more custom options too, but for those that it added it took away just as many.
MLG wants it’s settings to be as close to the Vanilla settings of the game so it’s not such a shock for casual players to go in and play it. It’s great we can customize but that’s not the point. The reason H3 MLG was so big was because there was little change from the normal and MLG settings. The H4 default settings seem so bad that MLG will literally have to overhaul the game to where it’s unrecognizable to casual players. That deters them.
I don’t even want to think about beer right now… as for your idea, it’s very good. We could play Halo any way we want! 
Maybe firefight has been taken out because they are adding bots?
I’d like to be able to forge drop pods for both weapons and initial player spawns. 
Players spawns drop in only at the beginning of the game and weapons drop throughout the game. I feel it would really help merge the multiplayer and cinematic feel, like merging campaign with multiplayer.

I… I would be very cool with that. 1v1 with my friend on Wraparound with 6 extra bots making that a 4v4 team slayer match. Brilliant!

But I would be very surprised if 343i didn’t put in more custom options. A lot more.

It has been replaced by a new mode, Spartan Ops. A co-op, story based mission that unfolds as 343i releases new missions and other things over the weeks and months.
