MC's age / Cryo / Spartan II's

I was thinking, because Chief spent years adrift aboard the Dawn in cryo, is he now that much younger than the others in his class? Not really sure how that works…

Also, at what age will the Spartan II’s become inefficient to deploy? Surely, with the introduction of new main characters, 343 is ready to advance, if not complete, the changing of the guard in the next game. So what happens to the original Spartans? Will Master Chief die a hero, live long enough to become the villain, or will he buck that trend?

Given that the John is probably in his early 50’s at the time of Guardians, subtracting the time spent in stasis. Chances are the SII’s will take a spot somewhere in ONI much like Osman did.

With cryo, he’s probably somewhere in his 40s. He spent 4 years in cryo between Halo 3 and 4 alone. Add in all the time he spent asleep throughout his military career, I would guess somewhere in mid-late 40s.

As for when Spartans will become obscelete? When it comes to the military, you use something until it can’t be used anymore. Even then, you keep rolling new tech along the way so that you always have fresh supplies. So the Chief and the others will likely remain active until they are physically declared unfit for duty, and then stationed somewhere within the Navy’s intelligence network, since they still have extremely sharp minds. Spartans are assets, and the IIs are still the best of them all.

If I remember, John is 42 due to his long times in cryosleep.

If I rememebr correctly, Johnson was somewhere aound 80 when he died, but due to the fact that he will have spent must time in cryo and the fact that thius is 500 years in the future.

100 years ago, average life expectancy was 20 years less than what it is today. So by 2558, being 50 is like the new 35, biologicaly speaking., plus the advances in medicine and what not.

Ahh, that makes sense. Thanks for the responses!
