As above, MCC on XO refuses to load, just crashes on pressing start. Specifically, the game runs its loading wheel 2-3 rotations and freezes up. The XO menus all still work, so this problem is unique to the game itself.
This is only happening since the most recent 40+ GB update.
This is definitely related to the way the game saves or loads saved data, as if I delete all local saves and stop the cloud sync from taking place, the game does launch.
Glad to know I’m not the only one with a this issue.
So the solution to this problem is deleting my saved data from my console and from the cloud?
Because I tried uninstalling and reinstalling the game and it didn’t work.

I did not delete the data from the cloud, I simply stopped it syncing data from there.
You may have better luck deleting the data from the cloud outright, I can’t vouch for that.
You definitely want to delete the data on your console though.
I have the same problem. I deleted the local saved files and restarted the game. It resynced and I’m stuck at the same place again. 
Holy… It finally started after leaving the frozen screen for ~10 min. I went away and I saw the menu when I came back 
So what’s the solution to this problem
Game won’t work at all! I’ve uninstalled countless times and nothing. The game freezes after couple rotations and game kicks me back to Xbox home menu! Help anyone? Thanks
We are already more than 40 PLAYERS! with the same problem, it’s so bad that 343 or microsoft or xbox do not give an answer to the problem.

Followed every single step for troubleshooting a game using the Microsoft website and still having the same issue. This crashing/freezing bug seems to be affecting more and more people everyday. Here is hoping for a fix soon.
Yep, nothing works. Game is trying to sync data and then crashes. When I go offline it works as intended, but the second I log back to XBL it just freezes and closes.
Guys. I think i found the solution to this crash:
i turned the game on and walked away. Around the time that the controller turned off on its own a message had then appeared saying something about failed to sync game data. I hit ok and now the game works. Every time i open it, the error message will appear. Just hit okay and hop into a game
im playin only for solo campaigns, so im not sure if this will work online.

open the game. Walk away. Come back ten minutes later. You should be good. Comment if this works for you too
Only had to wait 10 minutes once and since then i can run the game no problem
Guys, try with this:
- Sign in to the profile that is affected by this issue.
- Navigate to the console’s settings menu
- Navigate to the tab labeled “Ease of Access”
- Open the “Game Transcription” menu
- If either of the following settings are enabled, please disable them: “Speech-to-text on” and “Text-to-speech on”
- Additionally, you may want to try adjusting the following settings: changing the selected “Text-to-speech” voice and disabling “Let games read to me”
- Change the Mark’s voice for the Davide one.
- Do a hard reset (power cycle).
- Please relaunch the Master Chief Collection and attempt to sign-in again.
*NOTE: The option only appears in USA region, so if you have the same issue and a different region, please, change it to USA and English language for everything, do the fix and then, change again to your original region and language.
P.S. You have to do the fix for every account.
