Hi there,
I’ve been trying to get MCC to launch straight away with anti-cheat disabled but can’t get it to work. I’m aware that you can change the Steam shortcut to add “/option1” which defaults it to EAC disabled, but that Steam shortcut doesn’t link straight to the MCC executable (to my limited knowledge) so doesn’t work.
Whenever I try to launch the Shipping.exe, I get the 0xc0000005 error code. Tried running as admin, and checked my c++ redist but neither have worked. Loading the game through the Steam client works, but again I need to be able to launch the EAC-disabled version directly from the .exe.
Any ideas how to fix?
The solution with easyanticheat certificates helped me:
- Go to the games folder :\Steam\steamapps\common\Halo The Master Chief Collection - in the folder with the game, we find the folder “easyanticheat” - In this folder, you need to delete the folder “Certificates” - Launch the game, wait for updates and voila everything works

Thanks for the fix!
It did work one or two times, but has stopped working again now, same error code. Tried verifying the files, getting the “Certificates” back, and removing them again, but no joy
i know this is kinda old but i was wondering if you found a way to fix this? i’ve been having the same problem all week and idk what can i do to fix it
