I have a fast, stable interconnection (400 mb downstream, 200 upstream).
Every other game update on the Xbox downloads very quickly. However MCC updates typically around 100kb to 1mb.
I have tested pausing it and downloading other game updates out of interest, and they do indeed download quite literally hundreds of time faster. Have tried rebooting the Xbox, etc.
Any suggestions as to what could be causing this slow download issue for MCC and MCC only?
It must be on Xbox Live’s end. I too notice that the MCC updates are slower than other titles, and at first I gusssed that the number of players downloading the update was throttling the servers, but most folks should have the update installed by now. For some reason the MCC’s updates aren’t optimized on Xbox Lives end. Maybe there aren’t enough redundant servers with the update or their is huge bottle neck between the server and some players.

Thanks for the reply. I think you are right, and it seems to be specifically a bottleneck around downloading MCC patches.
In the end I resorted to uninstalling the entire game and re-downloading the entire thing. Doing this resulted in the game downloading at around 300Mb per second for me.
So it was significantly quicker to download the entire game which is 104Gb than to download the 14Gb patch. Quite ridiculous!
