I remember, way back when I still had my Xbox One set up before I moved, that I was playing through Halo: The Master Chief Collection, and I specifically the reasons being:

I read or heard something about completing all of the games in the Master Chief Collection on Legendary difficulty granted players a free Armor Set. Was that just a lie that I’ve believed up to this point, because I can’t find any mention of it anywhere online, and I feel kinda terrified that I’ve been working towards nothing this entire time. Of course, I’ll still finish the games on Legendary because I like the challenge, but I was also kinda banking all that effort into getting a neat Armor Set in Halo 5: Guardians. So, is this still a thing now, was it ever a thing, or was a fooled into believing something ages ago?

For number 2, Its not a lie if you complete halo CE to halo 4 on legendary you get a armour in halo 5 called Helioskrill to use.
You dont have to beat Halo reach and halo 3 odst on Legendary at all to get the armour.
When the other games get released on pc first
Hey OP. Yeah If you complete Halo 1 through 4 on Legendary in MCC and get the Legend achievement, then you unlock an armour set in Halo 5. The same armour set is in the Halo 5 REQ system so you can get it from REQ packs as well, but completing the campaigns is still a fun challenge to do.
If you complete all the campaigns on legendary, you will receive the Helioskrill armor set.
