MCC Season 8 Feedback

With Season 8 (and future Season with Elites and Flood) adding new Firefight features, it’d be cute if BOB variants were incorporated by having every Reach Elite or ODST Brute have a small chance of its rare shiny BOB color. Every player in the game would gain a Season Point on its death, and the player who kills it gets the rare Seek and Destroy medal.

In addition, fleshing out BOBs, it’d be cute if whenever there’s a weekly From the Beginning challenge that requires a player to play Halo Reach, then the Eye Spy challenge required players to hunt down a BOB instead of the Golden Moa. Players could complete multiple challenges at once without being required to play the additional game if they’re not in the mood.

I experience them too, although not on a constant level like you put it. Maybe just every once in a while. I’m on the original Xbox One. I don’t think there is a way to fix it, but a good thing to try is to submit a support ticket on the support page if it’s not already listed in the known issues list.

The custom helmets, skins etc. in game play is terrific.

I experienced this on Halo 2, doing a co-op campaign for the weekly rewards. I have found that both Halo CE and Halo 2 are now lagging in solo campaign as well.

The main issue is that the game crashes whenever I play halo 3 and reach multiplayer in pc. Hope it can be solved soon.
For the rest, is pretty good, good armours, good implement of customed games.

The CGB fixes were extremely well done! Now there is much less frustration when using CGB. Also the fixes were nice for Halo 2 Classic campaign.
Here’s all that I think needs to be added in order for Halo MCC to be a masterpiece:

  • Halo 2 anniversary, Classic, and Halo 4 on CGB - Splitscreen for PC - Steam Workshop for Halo MCC

Yeah I’ve also been getting some major lag in those two titles since season 8, especially when I get a checkpoint. Sometimes I’m facing a totally different direction to where I was once the lag spike is done.

  • MCC HALO GAME: Halo 1 Campaign - FEEDBACK: Colour correction was in the flight and was promised for full release of the patch but has not been included in the full release of the patch and nothing new has been communicated about it - ADDITIONAL INFO: I have looked through every option and done in game comparisons and there is definitely no colour correction toggle anywhere even though there was one in the flight and colour correction is definitely on at all times which is not what I want.

Anyone else having weird graphical glitches in halo reach? Mainly when playing on forge world and solitary? Wondering if it has to do with the new armor added. Hope this gets patched.

no matter what % you put deadzones at, it changes NOTHING. stuck at 12%
no matter what accel you put, stuck at 5
but on a positive note i get a sweet 20 yr aniv splash screen
totally worth the 5 gb update.

I think it’s only an issue on the Series X/S.

I was a little bit disappointed at the Season 8 cosmetic selection, the items are neat and I’m happy for the fans who enjoy them, but none of them are really for me. The 20th Anniversary items, on the other hand, are absolutely incredible. I absolutely adore them and they turned the entire season around for me, I love how they affect nearly every game, I love how they have such classic callbacks, I love the creativity behind the nameplates. It makes me incredibly happy to see new armor sets for Halo 2: Anniversary, one of 343’s best games that deserves the love.

I’m a little bit surprised that the ORION set and OGX weapon skins aren’t available for Halo: CE, they both would have been perfect for it and it’s odd that the original title didn’t receive any items for its milestone, but that’s just nitpicking. I really hope that once the last season is released, MCC gets the occasional Exchange dump here and there just like this. It’d be nice if it had a larger selection for each week too with how many items it has.

I’m genuinely hoping this means more legacy armors are getting added, or at least ported to MCC. I would absolutely be over the Moon to have a Mark IV remake or the Mark V from Fireteam Raven in Halo 3.

also wouldn’t mind the Halo Online Operator and Spectrum sets from Halo 3 shown off in the Season 5 trailer too.

Game: All
Feedback: Can we get seperate pages in the audio section to specify game specific volume settings? CE classic, in particular, is MUCH quieter than all the other games, and it would be handy to boost the volume for CE without opening and changing it every time you switch games. Alternatively, I would love it if you guys would balance the audio volume levels with all of the games so no game is quieter or louder than another and the volume settings all universally match the resulting audio in each game.

Halo Reach on Xbox 360 had a lot community made maps that were in matchmaking, and many of them simply aren’t in MCC. With the severs for Legacy Reach being shut down soon, I think it’s important that these maps be preserved in MCC. Myself and many others have fond memories of those maps and it’s jarring to go back to legacy and have a completely different map pool.

Edit: Someone has informed me of some of the missing maps. The missing 4v4 maps that I know of are Affinity, Chateau, Eden Minor, Enclosed, Midas, Precipice, Pulse, Renova, and Treasury. There were some BTB one’s as well that are missing.

Is the same true for Halo 3? I know there were variations of existing maps in matchmaking (like Sandtarp), but I never had the online Xbox experience. The extra variety would be so much appreciated, I don’t think I want to see Heretic or Midship ever again.

  • MCC HALO GAME: All Titles/UI - FEEDBACK: Add 2 more categories to the report feature. Griefing and AFKing are my most common reports and I always have to type it out in the other category. It would be a lot easier if I can just pick the category.

Yes! I finally got my hands on a Series X and I noticed these issues mainly in the campaign as I was going about completing challenges and also in multiplayer on Forge World (precisely Imago). It also briefly occurred during a match on Countdown. This never happened playing on my original Xbox One up until I stopped using it today. I’ve seen plenty of talk, and examples, about it over on the Twitter too.

Season 8 is phenomenal so far, Postums! So many of the QoL improvements that fans have been asking for have finally gotten addressed. (Even mine!) A welcome change to be sure and definitely one that I’m sure was no easy feat to pull off :slight_smile:

Once again though, it would be remiss of me not to point out many of the areas that I still believe could use some work. These are various loose ends and odd quirks that I think, if addressed, would really help the MCC feel more complete. Here they are!

Needed Improvements To In-Game Achievements Menu

  • Please… SEPARATE Halo 3: ODST achievements from Halo 3’s achievements! - Please… GIVE Halo 3: ODST its own dedicated “Achievements”, “Leaderboards”, and “Player Statistics” tabs! - Please… INCORPORATE the Steam Achievement Medals in the actual MCC so players have something to look at! - Please… FIX broken Halo 4 Par Time achievements!! Currently, all can be unlocked from rally points!!

  • Possibly… ADD a Concept Art Gallery for console players to view the Achievement Artwork they unlock! - Possibly… AWARD season points for unlocking various achievements! - Possibly… ADD more missing legacy achievements! - Possibly… ADD achievements for finding unacknowledged easter eggs (H:R GRD dolls, H:R Guilty Spark egg, H:R Penance barrel grunt egg, H2 Great Journey rex egg, H3 assassins skull, H4 limited edition box eggs, H4 double rainbow egg, etc.)Missing Legacy Features That Should Be Added

  • Halo: Reach - Campaign Matchmaking - Halo: Reach - Default “Insane” Forge Gametype (Please, patch this in as a default forge gametype like was done with “Recon SWAT” and “Escalation Slayer” for custom multiplayer!)

  • Halo 4 - Spartan Ops Matchmaking

  • Most Games - 4 Letter Service ID Letter Cap (The current 3 letter Service ID letter cap is just NOT ENOUGH to spell out even the shortest of possible names! – John, Arby, Fred, Halo, etc – It is a VERY, VERY missed opportunity! PLEASE change this immediately! If I could get one new QoL improvement, this would be it.)

The halo MCC have some bug problem with halo reach yesterday I was playing on campaign call the package and when got in to a vehicle there is a flashing bug going with the graphics it happens on yesterday update and the other bug was not in this update was inside the car or elevator there is a bug on Dr Halsey on the monitor this need to be fix because I have report the bug problem in halo 4 Spartan ops on episode 10 Exodus were is no animation in the harvester and the lich power core it happens back on halo 4 PC last year and the other bug in also Spartan ops on episode 7 chapter 1 after getting inside the phantom their is a bug cutscenes like turning off the lights at is not the same as back in og Halo 4 and one bug problem the champions bundle for the arms and shoulder still display master chief armor is not fix it right. If anyone have the same bug problem report it to halo support.
