I have been invited to the Season 8 flight of the MCC, and it is my first time ever participating in a Halo flight on my own device. I received my steam key, but the game does not seem to download after being added to my library. It starts, nothing happens for a while, then it stops and the process repeats. Is this normal? Are flights only available to download during the play-times that are fixed?
I’m having a issue myself I’ve been in multiple flights and this is the first time I’ve had a issue installing it I’m on Xbox by the way so it must be a mistake all across the board.
Everything is working fine now, hope everyone else’s problems have been resolved too!
Hmmmmm? I will have to keep an eye out for this issue later on today. I was accepted into the flight but had to work so I couldn’t try it out.
Power cycle your Xbox (found in General > power mode and Startup > Full Shutdown) and then download the app. If this also doesn’t work, when you navigate to the app, press the select button and select “Manage App”. From here, be sure to select “install all”. That was how I managed to get mine updated and installed properly. Hope it helps 
I attempted downloading Friday and today (Sunday 9/5 at 11:30pm). Same issue both times, so it must not be fixed like the comment above suggests. Part of a flight’s access…is it’s access. If that doesn’t work, the rest of the flight is moot. All issues of the kind need testing/preventing before publicizing tbh. Not a warning saying “this may happen, sorry.” Don’t be sorry. Fix it.
What finally worked for me was restarting my Xbox, deleting the app, and then re-downloading the app. It kept saying it needs an update but couldn’t fetch it and to try again later. When I re-downloaded the file, it went from 41.6Gb’s to 50 something so I knew then at that point that was the problem.
I have an issue where the box insider app is asking to update, but the update can’t be found. I u installed the app and reinstalled but no change. Really annoying. My first flight i was stoked to be involved but just can’t boot the thing.

Yeah for me I had to restart my Xbox multiple times and then reinstall the app twice. Pay close attention to the file size. Whatever it is sitting at now for you is likely the problem, or at least it was for me.
Yeah, I’m not going to keep resetting my stuff bc the bug-checker is buggy. That sounds like a developer problem.
