Okay, so here’s my concern. It’s all on one disc, lots of programming room, and it’s including Halo 4’s Spartan Ops on the disc itself. So here’s my question:
Seeing as the Xbox One has better running hardware, will Championship Bundle data FINALLY be workable on Spartan Ops? Because that would get people to want to play Halo 4 on there for sure. I really want to be an ODST S-IV in the thick of combat against the Covenant remnant and the Prometheans. So do you guys think they fixed this in the MCC or are we just going to have to be miserable about that…again.

All we know so far is that Halo 4 will be getting a boost to 1080p and 60fps. Nothing else.
Highly unlikely. 343i had the opportunity to correct this issue when the initially released the Champions Bundle, and they chose not to. There is little chance that they will change it for the MCC.

The weapon tuning doesn’t apply to Spartan Ops or Campaign because those changes take place at the gametype level. If you choose one of the built-in gametypes, you can play with the original 5-shot-kill BR.
According to bs angel:
> Due to the expansive sandbox featured in Spartan Ops missions, we have less flexibility to use additional memory for new content. We would have loved to implement it across the board but unfortunately that was too risky of a move (risky in this instance meaning there was a strong likelihood of breaking things).
Perhaps it’s an issue with an intended limitation of the engine, but since we don’t have any technical info beyond that, it’s possible that the Xbox One having more RAM could allow them to update Spartan Ops with the content.
Of course, the game was broken for three months after they added the content into multiplayer, so goodness knows what might happen if they do the same to Spartan Ops.

This isn’t the case anymore, all built-in gametypes were updated to include the Turbo settings.
I doubt it and I honestly don’t care if they do or don’t. It’s such a minor thing, big deal a person can’t wear a specific helmet or chest piece in Spartan Ops.
We dealt with it when the DLC was released, I’m sure we can deal with it now.

Are you 100% sure? Source? I have definitely used the built-in gametypes since the update and the weapons were not tuned.

I hopped on Halo 4 and made this video just for you.
They were updated in the 1.05.01 update back in November.

No one really knows what the problem is, and 343i has been very tight lipped when it comes to explaining why they can’t do one thing or another. The fact that Spartan Ops and Matchmaking may not share the same assets does not preclude Spartan Ops from using additional content.
As for the weapon tuning, there is no reasonable way to determine whether or not it can or cannot be applied to Spartan Ops, as friendly fire is disabled.
At this point in time, it would be a stupid thing to not fix. Then again, I’m not entirely sure why it didn’t work to begin with. But, like with Campaign/SpOps Theater and an actual shade of black on future color pallets, I’m going to hold on to a little hope.

Just tried it myself and was surprised to find out you’re right. Thanks!
