Basically the title. I have been playing since launch and so far haven’t heard any voices in chat, people can’t hear mine and I haven’t seen any messages in the chat.
While there are probably games where nothing gets said I’ve been in a number of games with some friends where they’re responding to people and I’m unable to hear them in-game, or even who they’re speaking to.
Similarly, I’ll have friends try talking in text chat to people and I’m unable to see what gets sent in there either.
Things I’ve already tried:
- Verifying integrity of my game cache through Steam - Ensured I’m running the game with EAC - Disabling audio devices I don’t use, making sure the devices I do use are set to default for everything - Restarting the game, my computer, router - Updating my drivers to the latest version - Checking my audio settings to ensure Voice Chat volume isn’t set to a low % or muted, also if I have Voice Chat enabled to begin with - Enabling/Disabling network Relays (Though I have to keep this enabled otherwise the game seems to kill my internet entirely, different issue 343 is already aware of) - Ensured I am connected to Xbox Live Services - Checked my NAT settings for Xbox Live and made sure it was set to “Open” - Checked my Firewall to allow MCC access for inbound and outbound connections - Checked to make sure my antivirus software wasn’t blocking the gameWeirdly enough, when playing with my brother he is able to see what gets sent in chat. We both use the same hardware and are plugged into the same router so it has to be some setting I’m missing but I can’t figure out what.
