As numerous others are reporting, as I can see from the other threads here that are all locked with no solution…
I am also having the issue of the game not detecting licenses for the games.
Super awesome message board here won’t let me drop a screenshot in of what’s going on so everyone could see.
If I try to play anything in any game it says that it is not installed. It asks if I want to install it but clicking ‘Yes’ does nothing…because it’s already installed…
But if I go to Options & Career > Settings > Gameplay > Change Installed Games : I can see all games/content are downloaded but showing a lock icon over each one.
I own the game, not thru game pass, I’m launching it from the Xbox app. The Microsoft Store, Xbox App, and all games are all at the current level, there are no uninstalled updates or pending updates or pending download or anything like that. The game worked normal last week, this week it’s dead.
I do have a ticket open.
I have received a response that says, “We recommend updating the Microsoft Store and/or Xbox App installed on your device to the latest version. This workaround should help resolve the issue you are experiencing.”
But as I stated, there are no updates found, everything is at the latest version. No response yet to my replay.
This is NOT the first time this has happened, since I bought the game I’ve battled with several bugs that have prevented me from playing the game. This specific problem has happened twice before, I could never find a solution, just one day it started working again, and then it went back on this status after awhile. Then after the season 7 updates/content it started working again, and now it’s broken again.
I have previously asked for a refund, I’m more than willing to just remove the game and have my licenses deleted (since I cannot play the game I paid for…) but we all know that’s not how MS rolls.
Just a lot of time wasted time trying to find a way to make this game work. Posting this is probably a waste of time too since it will likely be locked before anyone can add any useful info that might help me but, it’s good to vent a bit and at least others can read it and maybe be validated.
