Ever since the campaign challenges were released, I’ve had them work inconsistently. I usually do a Legendary mission or two every week to test it. Sometimes I’ll get the challenge notification and the XP, sometimes not. I know it’s only supposed to award once per campaign.
Usually, a Legendary completion takes me a few hours with many deaths/respawns. I have plenty of other daily concerns so I can’t play a mission in one sitting, let alone on Legendary. Sometimes I can afford to leave the game paused and running, sometimes I need to save my mission progress and quit the game.
Does the game not recognize my Legendary completion if it takes me too long? Too many respawns? Does it break if I save, quit, and come back later?
I’m not sure if it doesn’t count after a certain time or not but to cut down on the time it takes to complete legendary missions. If you’re doing it only for the challenge points.
Do H:Reach Winter Contingency in Legendary super easy and should only take 15 mins. Most of the mission is with teammates. The only 2 parts you need to worry about is when you’re outside in the mountain after first contact hug the rocks and let the elites move past and then just run past into the car. Stay behind cover when defending the marines and use noob combo (plasma pistol overcharge and then headshot). Then when the elite grabs the girl near the end kill the concussion rifle elite before he runs to the sword elite. Should be easy with a little practice and should take 15 mins or less with no deaths.
