I have tried verifying the files on my drive where halo MCC PC is installed through Steam but with little success, I first noticed this problem with trying to access the Halo Insider Launcher and the problem occurred making me try to just launch the full MCC PC release but the same problem occurred. the game loads fine, but then it says I cant connect to my xbox live account/server and then I suddenly lose all network connection making me unplug my Ethernet cable for 30 seconds before being able to connect my internet again. this problem has only been known to me for maybe a few weeks first occurring when I tried to access the halo Insider launcher. Please let me know if there are any ways to resolve this issue or if anyone else has had similar issues with this/
Hey, this is something I’ve been dealing with for a few weeks and I think this solution is what gets it up and running. Let me know how this works for you.
Thanks for the suggestion, took at look at uPnP on my router and it is enabled by default (which is odd but okay). I did locate a solution though, only took two months.Basically, I had to enable IPv6 on my router and then searched for “xbox live neworking” on my win10 machine. From here I clicked the “fix it” button and then hit check again, which gave a successful connection to the Teredo service. Here’s the kicker though, I have to leave that window open, if I close the xbox live networking window, I lose Teredo immediately. Glad to find a fix, but it is clearly a workaround.
I also want to add if I minimize the Xbox Live Networking window in Win10, my packet loss jumps to 90%. Hope this helps everyone who has run into Halo MP issues, based on my research, it seems this problem has been apparent since the MCC PC launch, but 343 might not see it as a larger issue.
thank you both, these suggestions seemed to have solved my problem for now. But now the real issue is that it takes me half an hour to find a game in halo 3 insider on PC and sometimes 40 minutes before I just stop searching, but at least the game is playable now so yeah.
turns out It didn’t solve the problem, I used the Xbox Networking service on the windows options and it said I was connected with a moderate NAT type (maybe that’s the issue but im not sure) but I enter into the main game start to connect to matchmaking getting people into the lobby then it just disconnects from xbox live and by extension my whole network. idk if there is an actual software problem or some network issue on my end but I would really like this problem remedied.
