I’m not sure what the most recent patch really fixed for party systems, but I feel that the party system has regressed. I know for sure though from the last patch I can now view my party and opponents emblems and nameplates, what a game changer. Just to form your party of 4 is a feat by itself, let alone finding a game, staying on the same team, or loading the a game that you waited 3+ minutes for.
I’m not sure if this is affecting anyone else, but these are the issues I came across while trying to play with a party in matchmaking.
- If you are searching for a game and the search time is taking way to long, you cannot just back out with your party. Everyone in your party has to hard quit for your party to reform.- After you complete a game and the game lobby leaves, you have to hard quit every time to reform your party.- If you are lucky enough for that after you complete a game, people stay in the lobby to play another game, but then you party will be split up. I have never seen my party stay together.- If your controller or one of your party member’s controller gets disconnected you get kicked out of the party and then everyone has to hard quit to reform the party. When I say “Hard Quit”, I mean you go to your Xbox Menu, click start on the game you are currently playing and select quit to restart the game. My party spends more time hard quitting and trying to reform our group more than we play together. If people have more issues that they have encountered please post about it here. Playing with your friends is what Halo was built for, not playing the hard quit game and finding a game every 20 minutes. I had an easier time finding games on Xbox Connect for H:CE than in MCC with a party. I love playing this game, but it’s extremely frustrating to play with a party. I hope these issues are corrected soon!
