I have MCC on a disk and every now and then the game won’t even start up. Says I need to insert the disk into the Xbox. The way around it was to re-insert the game wait 10 secs then go to games tab and pick MCC from there. It’s now impossible to even start the game up anymore.
PS The game worked fine when it would finally start up. EDIT: actually the game sometimes would crash a few times before the game would actually run fine
Same here… Even if it works, I play co-op splitscreen and it would crash after a cutscene. Rebooting doesn’t help and neither does restarting the Xbox (and unplugging it). The game is a f***ing mess.

Are you having this issue ONLY with MCC? Or are you also having it with other games as well?
If I remember correctly, if you have a launch XB1 some contained defective disk drives. If you are only having the issue with MCC, I’ve seen others having similar issues with no fix unfortunately.

This is an Xbone problem and not an MCC one. Take out the disc and put your finger in the middle ring. When you try to re-insert the disc…once you feel the Xbone start “grabbing” the disc, hold the disc for an extra second and you may or may not hear a very light “click” from the machine. Then, remove your finger and let the disc go inside the Xbone and it will likely work. This is an known “disc-read” error that mainly has affected the Blu-Ray player with earlier Xbones and it usually solved by doing what I described. It has happened on occassion with the games as well. If that doesn’t fix it, you might need to call Xbox support.
No part of that sounds like a game issue, unless it was an update and the thousands of people playing it had the same issues as you.
Ok I’ll try the tips guys. It’s weird cause my halo 5 works fine. I’ll try and get another copy then from a friend and see if it works if so I’ll get a new one if not reinstall the game.
