Hey all, currently going through Halo 2 on Legendary (wooo fun times ahead XD) and I have a question about the achievement. If you restart a level from the beginning by pressing “Restart” does the entire achievement progress go away? I would assume not as I’ve heard that you can do each mission whenever you feel that you’re ready.

Also, considering that you don’t have to do the whole campaign in a row (or even in order frok what I’ve heard) does this mean that you can go to the mission select screen to select which mission you want to try and complete in a fast time? Thank you ^^
Hopefully I can find out soon
wish you luck on getting it ^^ i am atm at oracle doing the runs, but some par time achievments seemed bugged on steam which discouraged me

The answer to your first question is no, using restart will not wipe your progress for the achievement. It clears your time for the current mission and that’s all.
Yes, mission select is fine. I got the achievement by going out of order and only using the mission select page.
Best of luck to both of you! It’s tricky, but fun to speedrun these. Except Gravemind. That one is just stressful.

Thank you! ^^ Now that I know this I’ll be able to manage my time on each mission a lot better!. I’m currently on Regret (perfect name for legendary difficulty). And I want to go back to mission select and turn on some skulls like Sputnik. But I don’t know which skulls prevent me from getting the achievement

I believe it’s only the skulls with a 0.00x multiplier that will prevent tracking. Just to be sure, if you improve your time go to your service record on here and it will list your fastest completion time at the highest difficulty. If the time doesn’t change then you can’t use that particular skull. Typically anything in the Non-Scoring section is what would void your time, but the ones like Sputnik with a 1.00x may be okay…
I’m pretty sure that grant birthday party Sputnik grunt funeral works fine cuz I always use them ^^

I see :O. Knew about the tracking times but I didn’t know about the skulls. I’ll have to check to see if things like Sputnik effect the run.
