MCC is no longer playable on PC

Okay. So the last 48 hours have been an exercise in extreme frustration. I recently moved back into my college dorm and have been trying to continue my Halo 3 campaign with my girlfriend. My computer specs are as foloows:
Ryzen 5 5600x
GTX 1060 6gb
16 GB of RAM
Windows 10 Education 22H2

The game ran fine for a few missions, until we got to Covenant and we were in the final section of the mission. I got an error saying the game had a fatal UE4 error and needed to close. I googled the error and tried the following solutions:
-Launch the game in windowed mode through steam
-Verify game files
-Re-install GPU drivers with NVCleanInstall
-Re-install the game
-Install the Game Pass version of the game through the Xbox app
-Disable shader pre-caching in the Nvidia Control Panel(made the game pass version work for one game of halo reach before the same error began yet again.

I thought the issue was that I had used a tool called privatezilla to remove all windows bloatware and kill the tracking services. So I re-installed windows and was met with the same error on stock windows 10.

Anything in these threads that helps?

The game has occasional UE4 crashes from time to time, just restart the game and you should be fine

I literally cannot find a game whil watching other streamers play. No idea

Verify the integrity of the files, that helped me before, but yeah, MCC has a lot of bugs that cause random crashes, disable the Halo 3 new skins too.

This has nothing to do with what op says.

I read your reply to the old thread regarding the “disconnect PC from Wifi then launch and if it works reboot router” strategy. I’m actually in the same boat as you as I am connected to my University’s wifi on my desktop. I tried doing the above strategy and it did work - however as soon as I reconnected to the internet so I could play online multiplayer the game crashed with the stupid UE4 Fatal Error. Have you found a fix yet? My game once again won’t launch and I get the same error.

It’s the skins, I’ve been having this exact same issue and I turned off the skins and had no issues since I thought I’d turn them on today and bam my pc gets the UE4 error crash. Must be the same issue that’s plagued the consoles.
