So everytime I go to install the MCC I get a few percent in and then the installation process stops and refuses to resume. I’ve tried hard resets and installing offline along with everything else recommended by xbox but to no avail. If anyone knows a fix for this I and possibly others could use your help.
Note: My disc is clean and looks brand new with no scratches.
Is an update being installed to the MCC game while your installing from the disk or are you told about an update during the installation? If so, say NO to this update.
Be sure you have enough room on the drive for the game.
Make sure the game is fully removed from the games and apps section if it’s there first. Power OFF the xbox then back ON and put in the disk and see if you can install it. Be sure to say not to the game update. You can update after the game is installed. Be

Sadly this didn’t work. It stopped the installation and would not resume. I have plenty of space and have tried it offline. I’m not sure what the issue
is.
Update: I think I may have found a way. You can download it from xbox live if you have the disc in so I’m going to try this method and see if it works. I’ll give an update when I figure out.
Let us know…if it fails, Id get on the phone with MS game support…
Don’t worry mate, It’ll be the disc or the console, I had this happen with my disc & 2 others you’re not alone my friend, All I can recommend is buying the Digital version cause basically Installing digital items have no issues (Cheeky Microsoft)

Thats nice and all however people don’t realized digital versions take up ISP usage bandwidth where some users might not have unlimited bandwidth with there ISPs. One thing I don’t really care for is MS is forcing some games over internet and some are very large in size. I’d rather have disk and given the choice to put it on the console from disk. But thats me.
Well good news fellas! It worked. So for future reference if anyone has this issue put your disc in your xbox, cancel the installation, go to the store and then go to mcc, press install and it should work. This does download the whole game from the internet but you still need the disc.

hey n0p0inter thanks for letting us know about how you get it to work i spent 12hrs trying to install that damn game and only getting 1.2gb after 12hrs and blowing up xbox’s phone for hrs i was about to smash that damn xbox thanks to you i can play that damn game lol
Hey guys so I’m having the same problem, and I read through it all and I did as you followed, I stopped the installation then went to download it from the store, only problem is, it said “purchase this game” and I refreshed it and tried about 4 times and still have no luck? Please help

If you select purchace the game the game it should bring up a menu to purchace and then say something like “it appears you already own this game. would you like to install it?”

Yeah going to the store did not work for me either
Go into the store, go to mcc then when u can see the buy or purchase option insert your disc to start the installation and it should start downloading in the store. Hope this helps.
