I was just starting my very first game on blood gulch and the game crashed. When I tried to relaunch I repeatedly got this error: MCC Has taken too long to start(0x8027025a)

Not cool. Game breaking bug.

Try clearing your console cache

The only way to “clear your cache” would be to hard reset the xbox. You can hard reset by holding the power button on the box for 10 seconds.

Did you get this resolved ? i’ve had the same error for weeks now, i’ve done a full re-install with the patches , cleared my cache done a hard reset and nothing, other games load fine for me

I’ve done exactly what you have to no avail.

None of these fixes work, 343 have to patch the game, and make it better, right now this is beyond a joke. The worst launch of any game on any system bar none.

The hard reset worked for me. Held the power button for 10 secs then turned it back on.

Whoa now, that’s taking it a bit too far. You haven’t played a lot of PC games, have you? Also, I remember back in the day when they couldn’t patch games…not cool bro.

Had this very same error message, MCC worked fine before I tried installing the H5 Beta. (Which by the way wouldn’t load after the menu screen) The hard reset thingy however has fixed the problem and I can now play MCC again and also the beta has worked now.

Hard reset worked but Halo 5 beta is really bad. With a little luck they will scrap what they have and stick to the game model that has worked for me and other gamers for more than a decade.

I’m having the same issue. I’ve tried uninstalling and reinstalling the game, using a different Xbox, resetting both xboxes, clearing cache, deleting save files. I cannot the game to start up.
