Since the newest update, MCC has been hard crashing my Series X in and out of the main menu. It turns the xbox completely off & not even the controller will turn it back on.
This never happened prior to the update, even if MCC’s stability wasn’t perfect beforehand.
Edit: I have also already filed a ticket on halo support.
I have an Xbox One X and have had several hard crashes like you described. I was advised on the support site when I filed my ticket to try turning off the new skins. With them disabled I have not had any crashes.
I am seeing several users report that their Xbox One Xs are hard crashing (this is the first Series X post I’ve seen regarding it, but it may be the same issue.) I am encouraging everyone with this problem to open a support ticket as you have done, as it is currently not listed on the Open Issues section of the Support site.
In the mean time try turning off the new skins, but hopefully this is fixed soon!

I am having a hard crashing issue with my series X as well. Only after I get into an online match. So I jump in ready to play I get to play 3 -5 seconds and the game crashes. Then I get banned for 30 min. Very frustrating!
