MCC Halo 3 (XB1) frozen in mission

After the penultimate cutscene on the Halo 3 MCC (XB1) mission ‘The Covenant’ where

Miranda and Truth die,I now have a black screen, some ambient sounds, and the competitive scoring box. The time is frozen, but I can open the Start menu and use its full functionality. If I go to Last Checkpoint, it deducts the points from my score, but the time is still frozen. If I Save/Quit, I get the same result. Other controls except for Start don’t do anything.

I deleted my console save and resynced, restarted my Xbox, and nothing.

I poured a few hours into this mission today on Legendary trying some different strats only to get this at the last stretch.

I’m thinking my only option may be to restart, but I figured I’d try my luck here. Didn’t see any similar occurrences from searching. Any other thoughts? Thanks in advance!

Unfortunately I had to overwrite the checkpoint this morning for something I was working on. I did file a support ticket with a game clip, so we will see what they say.

I didn’t expect to get a response this quick, but I figured I’d put it on here in case someone else experienced it. I’ll update if I hear anything more.
