That would be a very smart choice to put it in MasterChiefColection, because H2’s ranksystem doesn’t have the amazing challenge from Halo 3 (…colonel, brig, general and not forgetting the “EXP” that makes NO ONE wants to quit any game, for losing exp or lvl !!!
I couldn’t agree with you more. Wish I had a contact at 343 though. I loved the Halo 3 ranking system. Gave you a sense of accomplishment with your MM character. Lots of fun. I don’t really care for the Halo 2 ranking system. Reach had a good system too. That one may have been my favorite. I don’t know…H3 vs Reach ranking, both are awesome.
I would love any ranking system that works! H2a has a ranking system but its broken in every way lol! But yea i 100% agree where are the ranks???
H2 ranking system was way better than in H3 because it didn’t use True Skill so it didn’t get stuck, and the level icons look really cool. I agree that the EXP system in addition to the ranking was a good addition to H3. It created long term rewards and punished people for quitting games, but it surely didn’t create any “amazing challenges”. So I at least don’t want it being added to this game.

Reach had an absolute horrible system. Can’t even call it a system. Skilled matches were ruined by reach

If you want my take on ranking systems, you should go to my post, “Is SR a waste of time?”. It has a lot of my viewpoints on Halo 4’s ranking system, which requires over 200k XP to enlist in a new specialization.
First, the best news for me was the annoucement of the come back of the Halo 2 ranking system in MCC.
In my opinion, Halo 2’s 1 to 50 + a ranks system would be perfect. Pretty much like Halo 3. Halo 2 ranking system for each ranked playlist and a global rank like Reach (very long to achieve) + maybe a rank for each playlist too like in H3 after the TU.
I was so happy when they announced that Halo 2 levels were back but I was really disapointed when I saw there wasn’t any rank and commendations in MCC.
Nowadays, developers needs to give us a lot of things to do to keep people on the game. And by “lot of things” I mean for every type of players.
