Hello all!

I need a lot of help with getting the Monopolized achievement. After years of being carried through the MCC, this is the last achievement I have left to get in the game, and there is no way I’m going to be able to get it on my own. If any of you are good at speedrunning Halo 2 and would be willing to help me out, I would greatly appreciate it!

Most of them are honestly not that hard on your own and may take around 5 minutes to do once you learn the tricks. I’d start by just practicing and then on the ones you really cant do (Gravemind lol) get help.

I’d help with LASO but not doing monopolized again right now soz.

Learn the tricks on heroic, because that’s at least decently fair, get your clears and fights down. Also, don’t worry about saving 15 minutes on the sum of par times, try to set yourself to save as much time on easy levels like:

  • Outskirts (sub 6 minutes for the average runner), - High Charity (if you do the skip, sub 4 minutes for the average runner), - Uprising (the fastest level in the game, sub 2 minutes for the average runner) - The Arbiter (sub 7 minutes for the average runner) - Delta Halo (can be pretty hard to learn the route but it’s not too long, sub 7 minutes for the average runner)Another thing I can suggest is to learn to sword fly and sword cancel, they are the bread and butter of this game’s speedrun. Being able to do them lets you skip large sections of Gravemind, arguably the hardest level in the game. Also, noob combo is your best friend, use it to kill enemies. Remember that your longest sections will be the kill-to-progress sections, skip them or speed them up where you can.

You’re better off running through this one yourself as every death will reset you to your last checkpoint on co-op and sometimes that checkpoint glitch will frustrate the two of you. If I remember correctly, the difficulty of Halo 2 also scales with the number of players you have. Although just about anyone who runs the game would be willing to help you learn the routes, tricks, and clears.
