First off, thank you 343 for making the massive patch today.
This a repost of my old forum post from last year. If anyone from 343 sees this, PLEASE forward this to your development team. This glitch is STILL in the new patch of Halo MCC as of 8/27/2018:
Whenever I play Halo: Combat Evolved’s campaign, I always select the anniversary graphics and the [remastered] anniversary music as options. As much as I appreciate the original Halo, I want to hear and see the new audiovisual perspective of Halo: CE Anniversary. The new music plays just fine as it’s supposed to, but if I die anywhere in the campaign, the new music (for some odd reason) is switched back to the old music when you respawn at your most recent checkpoint, but with the new graphics on. I’ve played the whole campaign without dying before, and the new music played just fine all the way throughout. The old music only came back (and stayed there until I finished the campaign) whenever I died for the first time in the campaign. It’s just super weird playing the game in new graphics with old music.
New edit: This “CLASSIC MUSIC” cue is triggered and plays over the new graphics:
- If I die at any location and respawns
- If I respawn at my last checkpoint via pause menu option
- If I resume my mission progress when logging back in to the mission from the UI
If you see this, please forward this to to the 343 development team. Thanks.
