MCC is still getting updates. The team has always been small and I’d believe that it may have shrunk. They certainly have had some of those people work on Infinite or Infinite-relevant stuff, but work is still being done on MCC.
I may say this with confidence but I don’t blame you for feeling so dejected. I keep my expectations low and try to work with what we already have because 343i has always fumbled something. At least they never fumble everything.

the MCC team was forcibly downscaled for the upcoming year, but they are still separate from the infinite team. updates are still planned, however what those updates will entail is likely less than what was planned prior to the cancellation of Season 9 and 10, throwing a ton of upcoming content into question.
Honestly I’d rather have new Forge features for MCC and a private file limit increase than more cosmetics.
That’s essentially what I meant.
Before there was a decent chance the remaining H:O Maps Skybridge and Reactor were going to release next year for Halo 3, now it’s in the air if they’ll be released period. You might still see smaller things alongside the mod tools, but how much it adds is the question.
I’d love to see Halo Online forge in 3 and other forge enhancements in the other games too
