MCC Disc Not Recongnized as Xbox Game

I’ve had the Master Chief Collection for a while now, every now and then when I would insert the disc into the console it would say “Restart the app, then try again (Make sure you are using an Xbox One game, a music CD, or a movie on Blue-ray or DVD. (0x80820002)” It’s gotten to the point were its practically impossible to play the game. Every other game seems to work fine except for it. The CD appears to be clean with minor scratches on the inter ring where the hole is, I would like to know if this is because of the Game or Xbox and if there’s a way I could fix it.

If this is the only game it happens with and doesn’t happen with any other games or DVD’s, then it’s probably a defective disc. You should take it back to the store you purchased it from first of all and see if they can replace it for you. If the store won’t help you out, perhaps make a call to Xbox Support and see what they can advise?
