my dad bought the mcc so he can play with me but on his computer which is better than mine he goes to open the app but after showing the 343i logo it completely crashes his pc causing it to restart is there a fix to this ?
Edit: we found out the problem was his power supply so if your pc restarts when opening mcc you need a newer power supply
So, we might need a little more information, because this is a little too vague:
What version of the game is he playing? (Steam/Microsoft Store)
What are his system specs?
When you say it completely crashes his PC, what do you mean by that? does the system Reset? Does it Blue-Screen? If so, what is the error message?
There might be an underlying issue in which the master chief collection (a far from perfect game) may be causing problems with an unstable system.
Personally, I’ve been playing MCC on PC for over 700 hours, between 2 PCs. I have had the game crash maybe 2 or 3 times. And my friend, who built his PC a few months back has been playing for about 110 hours hasn’t seen the game crash even once, as far as I know.
I might have seen something similar reported in the Support Forums, you might be able to find better help there.
It can also be because some of the game integral files may be corrupt. I had the same issue where after 343 logo the game used to crash. If you are on the steam version try to verify the files. If you are on ms store version go to ms store and click download game. It will replace the files which are corrupted or edited etc
If the entire PC crashes, then it is not a game issue as such, that’s a PC issue.
We are not in the 90s where software could do whatever it wanted to the OS.
The only time I’ve had software crash a PC under modern Windows was due to underlying hardware failure.
Yes - saying ‘it’s better than mines’ doesn’t mean much.
Please provide system specification if possible.

Hm i had a similar issue once. Try updating windows and see if you are an windows insider. If you are then opt out. And also try reinstalling the windows as it will help
