Has anyone else had MCC just straight up crash their Xbox? I mean, honestly I was in terror when it first happened to me because it just shut down in the middle of the night. Now I expect it at least once a month.
I guess there really is no way for me to tell why this happens, but I’m not alone right? Everyone I regularly play with has had it happen to them as well durring our playing.
If everyone you regularly play with are agreeing with you then isn’t that enough of a confirmation for you? I think I have had it happen once since reach came out in like 2018ish
I have had it happen twice. The first was when I had to get it updated only for my Xbox to overheat and shut down. The second was when I was playing Halo 3 custom games with a friend and my Xbox just turned off. My friend even got the same issue.

I worked at a gamestop for like 4 or 5 years, if your xbox has an overheating issue, then it isn’t the game, it could be the hardware, I don’t know your situation you could be the cleanest person with a really old xbox, a clean individual who may forget to air dust his newer console, or a person who hasn’t touched his xbox from the day they put it on their shelf let alone to clean it. I have played the current build of MCC on an og 2013 Xbox One, my One X, and on my Series x. If you’re playing on the og xbox one and you have a little bit of dust your console will die, it even makes my one x chug now too lol… with that said some canned air can go a long way.

OG Xbox One i’m assuming? If you are it may be time to upgrade. Their lifetime is wearing out. I had to replace mine last year. Especially if you ever dropped it or damaged it a little. Plus their hardware isn’t as great as the newer ones. Xbox One S would be the best next Xbox. If you have a 4k tv or monitor, get an Xbox one X. Or just swap to PC or get the Series X for the best hardware

disable all skins and camos, a bug with the unreal engine causes your xbox to freeze and power down, if it happens regularly with other games as well then you should call xbox support

Can confirm it’s nothing to do with the model. It happens to me on the Xbox One S. People seem to be linking the crashes to the weapon skins and the textures just overloading the xbox, which does happen to me when I’m using skins. It’s a common problem right now.

Is that still happening? It hasn’t happened to me since January, thought they patched it
